Terms of Use

Last updated: 30 September 2026 · Effective: 30 September 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and BRoll King ("BRoll King", "we", "us"), operated by Canberk Sezer, Türkiye. They cover the BRoll King iPhone app, the BRoll King website at brollking.com, and the web application when it launches (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service does

BRoll King analyses a video you provide and proposes an edit: it detects silences, dead air, filler words and restarted takes, transcribes the audio, plans B-roll based on that transcript, generates or fetches the B-roll media, adds captions, and renders a finished video.

Automated analysis is a suggestion, not a decision. Cuts and B-roll inserts are presented for your review and are applied only after you approve them. You are responsible for reviewing the result before you publish it.

2. Accounts and age

  • Using BRoll King requires an account and an active subscription (or the free credits of your first 30 days), or remaining credits from an extra credit pack you bought (see section 6). You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address.
  • The Service is rated 12+ and is not intended for children under 12. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.
  • You may delete your account at any time from inside the app (Settings → Delete Account, or Account → Delete Account on the plans screen — no subscription needed). Deletion is permanent and removes your profile and credit history, including any unused credits. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription — Apple keeps billing until you cancel it in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, so cancel it first.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to create, process or distribute content that:

  • infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights;
  • is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or incites violence;
  • is sexually explicit or sexually suggestive, depicts any person — in particular women — as a sexual object, or depicts minors in any sexualised way;
  • impersonates a real person, or fabricates events in a way designed to deceive — including deceptive synthetic media of identifiable people;
  • contains malware, or is used to attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the Service.

You also agree not to resell, sublicense or automate bulk access to the Service without our written permission, and not to work around credit limits, free credits, monthly quotas or rate limits (for example by creating accounts, or deleting and re-creating one, to collect free credits repeatedly).

4. Your content and who owns it

Your video is yours. You keep all rights in the footage, audio, transcripts and finished videos you bring to or produce with the Service. We claim no ownership over them.

You grant us only the narrow, temporary licence we need to run the Service for you: to process your audio in order to transcribe it, to use the resulting transcript to plan and generate B-roll, and to deliver the result back to you. That licence ends when the job ends. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.

You confirm that you have the rights to the material you upload, including the rights of anyone appearing or speaking in it.

5. AI-generated content and stock media

  • AI output is not guaranteed. Generated images, video, motion graphics and transcripts may contain errors, invented details or unintended resemblances. Review everything before publishing.
  • You are responsible for what you publish, including AI-generated inserts and burned-in captions, and for any rights clearance your use requires.
  • Generated media is produced by third-party AI providers and is subject to their own content policies; requests that violate those policies may be refused.
  • Content rules are checked automatically. Every AI image and AI video prompt is checked before it is generated, and generated images are checked before they are delivered. A prompt that breaks the acceptable-use rules above is refused before any credits are charged; a generated image that fails the check, or a clip that an AI provider's own content filter refuses, is not delivered and its credits are refunded. Automated checks can make mistakes in both directions — if a normal request is refused, rephrase it or use stock media.
  • Stock media is supplied by Pexels and is used under the Pexels License. That licence permits free commercial use but prohibits, among other things, selling unmodified copies and implying that depicted people endorse you. The Pexels License governs those clips even after they are placed in your video.
  • Ownership of AI output varies by jurisdiction; in some countries purely machine-generated material may not be protected by copyright. We make no representation about the copyright status of generated media.

6. Subscriptions, credits and payment

Plans

  • BRoll King is offered as an auto-renewing subscription in three sizes. Every plan includes the whole editor; the plan sets how many credits you receive each month: Starter 750 credits, Pro 1,600 credits, Power 4,000 credits. Each plan is available billed monthly or billed yearly; yearly plans cost about 30% less and still deliver their credits once a month.
  • Credits are consumed by transcription (captions and filler and retake detection are built from it), AI B-roll planning, stock photos and footage (including the AI check that picks them), AI image and video generation, motion graphics, the optional AI review passes (retake review and caption review) and animated caption styles (charged once per video when the render starts). The credit cost of each action is set by us and is shown before you confirm a job. Only on-device work — the silence scan, cut review, timeline editing, zooms and rendering and export — does not use credits.
  • The price of each plan is shown in the app, in your local currency, before you subscribe.

Free credits

  • New accounts get 250 free credits for your first 30 days, no card needed; then a plan. They can be used on anything that costs credits. Nothing is charged and there is nothing to cancel.
  • When the free credits run out or the 30 days end, whichever comes first, you need a subscription (or remaining credits from an extra pack you bought) to keep using features that cost credits. Unused free credits expire at the end of the 30 days. If you subscribe before then, the free credits you have left carry into your first paid period.
  • Free credits are given once per account and once per iPhone. We check the iPhone with Apple's DeviceCheck service (see our Privacy Policy): a device that has already received free credits — also under an account that was later deleted — does not receive them again.
  • There is no App Store free trial: a subscription is charged when you confirm it.

Billing and automatic renewal

  • Subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are sold and billed by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless automatic renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or from Manage Subscription inside BRoll King (in Settings, or under Account on the plans screen). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • You can switch plans in the same place. Moving to a larger plan takes effect straight away and Apple credits the unused part of your old plan; moving to a smaller plan takes effect at your next renewal.
  • If we raise the price of a plan, Apple notifies you in advance and, where required, asks for your consent before the new price applies.

How credits work

  • Monthly credits reset. At the start of each monthly period your plan balance is set to the plan's monthly amount. Unused plan credits do not roll over into the next period.
  • Extra credit packs can be bought inside the app by paying subscribers (from the first paid period). Purchased pack credits never expire: they are carried over every time your monthly credits reset, and they stay usable even if your subscription ends.
  • When your subscription ends, your remaining plan credits end with it; any purchased pack credits remain.
  • Credits carry no cash value, cannot be transferred to another account or exchanged for money, and are forfeited if you delete your account.
  • We may change the credit cost of actions for future jobs; changes do not reduce credits you already hold.
  • If a job fails on our side, the credits it consumed are returned to your balance.

Restoring purchases and refunds

  • Your plan and credits are tied to your BRoll King account. On a new device, sign in with the same account and use Restore Purchases (in Settings, or on the plans screen) if your plan does not appear. A subscription is linked to one BRoll King account at a time; restoring it while signed in to a different account moves it to that account.
  • Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its own policies — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, not through us. If Apple refunds a purchase, the credits or access it provided are removed. Where we can help with a failed or double-charged purchase, write to support@brollking.com.

7. Availability, changes and suspension

The Service is provided on an ongoing but not guaranteed basis. We may add, change, limit or remove features, and we may take the Service down for maintenance. Third-party providers we depend on (transcription, AI generation, stock media) may change or become unavailable.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if your use threatens the security or stability of the Service, or if we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund unused credits that you paid for, and the unused part of a prepaid subscription period, where the payment processor allows it.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy of transcripts or generated media, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Keep your own copy of your original footage. BRoll King is an editing tool, not a backup service, and we do not store your videos.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BRoll King is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or lost footage, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory rights granted to you by the consumer protection law of your country.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul, Türkiye have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, nor of the right to bring proceedings there.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
